Top 10 Insta Worthy Spots to Visit in NYC

Rise and shine upper east siders: Gossip Girl here: Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. In all seriousness, who wouldn’t love to be GG for a day? I know I certainly would, and for the purpose of this post, I will be. This weekend was a much needed girls getaway for three best friends looking for good coffee, overpriced brunch, and cute insta posts. In the countless times I’ve visited the big apple, I’ve never quite managed to hit up every place on my list. This time however, we got pretty far…

  1. Happy Bones (394 Broome St, New York, NY 10013, USA) 7:30am – 7:00pm // Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 7pm Saturday – Sunday

Started by a New Zealand raised dynamic duo, Happy Bones is located right in the middle of NYC’s Little Italy district. New York City is about energy and creativity, and Happy Bones exists to inspire and energize New Yorkers. They start with the best coffee and the best baristas in the city, add amazing local art, and bring the most interesting publications from the world over. Th minimalist white walls make for adorable photos, and their menu sign alone is practically famous.

2. Two Hands Cafe (164 Mott St, New York, NY 10013) 8:00am – 5:00pm // Monday – Sunday

Two Hands Cafe on Mott St in NYC is a community-focused cafe that strives to create nutritious, simple and delicious food paired with exceptional coffee. Taking inspiration from Australia’s forward-thinking culinary scene and relaxed beachside lifestyle, Two Hands aims to be a place for the community near and far to come unwind in the light-filled space. (Also, the dreamy avocado toast is definetly a winner for both the camera, and your tastebuds… what millennial doesn’t want that????)

3. Cha Cha Matcha (373 Broome St, New York, NY 10013, USA) 8:00am – 7:00pm // Monday – Thursday | 8:00am-8:00pm // Friday | 9:00am – 8:00pm // Saturday | 9:00am – 7:00pm // Sunday

This place is where every matcha dream imaginable comes true. With both matcha + espresso drinks (as well as soft serve matcha ice cream…damn) this place is perfect even for just simple coffee drinkers. With every milk your heart can desire (ps. get the macadamia milk… doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not) every hot or icy version of your perfect matcha can be found right here. Also in the heart of Little Italy, just down the street from Happy Bones.

4. by CHLOE (185 Bleecker Street New York, NY 10012) 11:00am – 11:00pm // Monday – Friday | 10:00am – 11:00pm Saturday – Sunday

The cute awning out front with the adorable swinging white chairs say it all, but the inside is equally as pretty as it is on the outside. White brick walls, dainty photogenic plants, and tiles that spell the cafe name across the floor. Great coffee, fancy vegan and non-vegan dishes that look (almost) too pretty to eat.

5. Sweatshop

Two insta worthy signs under one roof. Everyone loves neon, am I right? And everyone loves cute quotes about coffee that reassure them that they’re right for thinking coffee means everything. PS. they have really pretty speckled cups, so be sure to ask for your iced lattes in “to stay” cups!

6.  Steps At The Met(ropolitan Museum of Art)  (1000 5th Ave, New York, NY 10028) 10:00am-5:30pm // Monday-Friday (However, the steps never close… only the Museum does!)

What dynamic blonde/brunette best friend duo doesn’t want to be Blair and Serena for a day? You’re lying if you say it isn’t you. The iconic steps make for the best photos and the best I’m in a movie right now feeling. All thats missing here is the yogurt. Thanks Little J for taking our photos, and as per usual, Blair can always be found sitting above Serena…

Sorry little J, you’ve been exiled from the steps.

7. Central Park (New York, NY 10024) 6:00am-1:00am // Monday-Sunday

Pretty green plants, quaint trails to walk along (or be annoyed by pedi-cab drivers on) and secret little hidden gardens to explore in… Central Park is one of the most famous places in New York, and holds more television scenes and opening credits than anyone could ever count. The entire park, even just simply the trees are so photogenic, and to add to that there are a million and one captions your instagram could go for because of the iconic films shot here. I’m almost positive there is a FRIENDS quote waiting to be used somwhere.

Also, shoutout to the guy that convinced us to buy heart shaped sunglasses because it made Elizabeth look like Brittany Spears.

8. EGG SHoP (51 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012) 8:00am-11:00pm // Tuesday-Saturday | 8:00am-4:00pm // Sunday-Monday

It seems like all my favourite food places from this trip happen to be within such a small radius, but I guess little italy just has so many things to offer in such a small place. EGG SHoP on Elizabeth st. has incredible sandwiches, cruisers, and even custom egg and cheese combinations that are sure to suit anyones fancy.

9. Café Integral (149 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012) 7:00am-5:00pm // Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm Saturday-Sunday

PEOPLE WATCHING FOR DAYS // Can you tell I love minimalism? This cute cafe was simple for sitting on small benches, sipping espresso, eating donuts, and watching hipsters walk past. Located directly beside EGG SHop, and like I mentioned before, this area was seriously packed with every great place to eat. SO lovely. ♡

10. Top Of The Rock (30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10020) 8:00am-12:00am // Monday-Sunday

Who doesn’t love a breathtaking city view? THIS is the place to get it and to capture it. With sweeping, unobstructed views of both Central Park and Manhattans Midtown + Downtown skyscrapers, the view from the Top Of The Rock is truly one of a kind. (see the link below to see other peoples insta photos!) ♡
